The Swan

My Wife`s seabass, as always, was very acceptable. My duck salad was really not very good, skin not crispy and fat unrendered on a bed of curiously chewy noodles. This dish was one of my favourites here but they seem to have changed the mode of preparation.

First evening visit and it did not disappoint! The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend!We will be back! Thank you

I had chicken bacon salad.  The chicken was so tough I could have soled my shoe with it.  I had a real job cutting it.  The table was too high which made cutting the chicken even harder - my elbows were almost as high as my shoulders.  The pesto on the ciabatta was &lsquo;orrible and made the bread soggy. The &ldquo;bacon&rdquo; wasn&rsquo;t bacon and was almost non-existent.  I gave three stars for the salad veg and dressing, although it could have done with more dressing.  I wish I&rsquo;d had a pizza now.  BUT the ambience was very good apart from the child on the table behind which was screaming so loudly we couldn&rsquo;t hear each other speaking (but kids will be kids eh! No problem with that). Sorry but this is my honest opinion.
